    It is a sad story about the dog Gabriel, but I am glad there is a happy ending for him. This clip also shows empathy because people are caring for the dog and not giving up on him.

    That video was very sad the man had trained so hard to get that far and he tore his leg but he tried very very good.I am glad he tried very hard and passed the finish line

    Never give up anyone just carry on. Derek trained so hard to be in the olympic game he's hamstring hurted but he didn't say ( ok I'll give up) he got up and carry on Gabriel and Connor

    That dog was so CUTE but why did his old owners take him to that animal center his new owner are now taking more care to him
    it must be cool to be a dog with a nice family and loving care. We nearly cried that's the saddest video i have seen

    i burst to tears in both of the videos the puppy one is SO sad but i like how it can walk at the end. the man was very brave he showed perseverance and did not give up the dad was really kind to for helping his son. catalina

    Perseverance does not have to be sad. Zeus was able to walk and is living a happy life with his new family.

    Derek Redmond was able to compete again and was able to win lots of other races.

    Neither one of them gave up.

    It's not over when you lose. It's over when you quit.

    Derek he didn't give up he's gone so so far.He had a chance to win a medal.Derek nearly won the race but he tore he's hamstring. A man went beside Derek it was he's father.He said you don't need to do this he said Derek said yes I need to do this he said.65,000 people raise up by not giving up he's father let go of him to finish the race.

    The dog Zeus didn't give up! His family didn't give up on him either! He was brave. He was so lucky to have a family that cared so much about him to teach him how to walk by swimming. holly
